HOTELES EN MEXICO COLONIAL

The history of Mexico is very turbulent. The Spanisch conquerors under Cortés destroyed within two years the 3000-year-old Mexican civiliazation out of their greed for gold and silver. After that, great parts of both cultures merged into a totally new and very unique culture. The conquerors brought out a new generation - the Criolles, whose parents were Spanish but who were born in Mexico. They traded very efficiently with their mining and farming ressources and products so that they were able to fastly gain prosperty and build splendid cities with opulent churches, theatres and beautiful haciendas. During the 18th century the Criollos were more and more unsatisfied under the colonial rule of the Spanish and with the conquest of Spain by Napolean in 1808 the Mexican revolution started. The colonial cities are witnesses of the happenings during the Mexican revolution that changed the history. These cities, like Guanajuato and Querétaro are very popular today because of their history, the beautiful architecture and the special atmosphere. Get inspired for your Trip through the Colonial Mexico and choose the hotels that meet your expectations and wishes best.
