Today you start your day with a 20-minute hiking tour to the waterfall of Chuveje. From there you reach a cave with a big impressing arch after another 20 minutes of walking. Here you have the optional possibility of rappelling (25 metres). After about one hour of cave walking you get back to daylight to walk back to Pinal de Amoles. After a quiet and relaxing afternoon you are off to the last stage for today: a rustic, traditional wooden hut in a little village that offers an amazing view on the canyons. To get there, you have to go on a nocturnal hike of about an hour. But don´t worry, there are donkeys to carry up your luggage, as the few houses are hardly reachable by vehicles. Here a warm welcome awaits you in the house of the Mexican family Doña Matilde y Don Eustaquio. Enjoy Mexican hopitability and the delicious typical food. Overnight stay.
After breakfast it goes downwards! The 5-hour hike leads you along the hillside of the Cañón de la Barranca where you will enjoy spectacular views. Afterwards it goes down to the river Río Agua Fría. Via a small path a couple of metres above the river you reach the waterfall El Puente de Dios de Pinal de Amoles. Take a dip in the refrshing, crystal clear mountain water and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Full of new energy you continue along a small path that is crossing the river a few times, until you reach the final point oopf today's walking tour. Overnigt stay.
Today it's getting wet! After breakfast you are off to a very special adventure. With your guide you will climb along the fast running river, depending on your personal experience and condition takes up tp 5 hours. There are passages for beginners as well as for professionals with rafting, rappalling ( up to 45 m), turquoise-blue swimming holes and water slides. A day full of fun and adrenaline is waiting for you! Overnight stay.
On your way back to Querétaro you get to know the small colonial town of Bernal that is situated in the Sierra of Querétaro. Here you will climb up the notoriuous 288-metre high monolith, Peña de Bernal, which is the third-highest in the world right after Ayers Rock and the Sugar Loaf Mountain. He is said to have magical abilities and to grant a long life for those who climb up to the top. The spectacular view over the Sierra Gorda rewards all efforts. Afterwards you have some time left to take a closer look at the charming village and to try some of the traditional Gortditas (corn dumpling with stuffing as desired) that Bernal is famous for before you are brought back to Querétaro.
