In the morning you are, according to your arrival, picked up at the bus terminal or your hotel and you drive with your private guide towards Chichen Itza, which is the best and preserved excavation site in Mexico. Along the way, you will stop in the idyllic Colonial City Vallodolid before you visit the magnificent Cenote Yokdzonot. Apart from the mass tourism you can enjoy a refreshing bath in the crystal clear water of the cave. Around the cave there is a typical Maya village. With the support of the government and the revenues from the tourism, the inhabitants safe their income and take care of the preservation of the caves. After a strengthening lunch in a cozy, local restaurant the tour continues to the archaeological site Chichen Itza. This wonder of the world will impress you with its fascinating and imposing architecture designed by the Mayas. Discover the pyramid of Kukulcan, which illustrates a unique stony calendar and the huge antique ball game place. Significant are the beautiful ornaments which tell a lot about the former life of the Maya at this place. Following the tour takes a you back to Cancun or Riviera Maya, where you arrive at 8 pm.
