In the morning you are, according to your arrival, picked up at the bus terminal or your hotel and the tour starts with an interesting walking tour through the ancient streets of the colonial city San Cristobal. First, you are going to visit the popular local market, also known as the market of Colors. Every day, people of the nearer surrounding such as the Totzil and the Tseltal are selling handcrafted and agricultural products. Afterwards you are going to visit among others the beautiful church Santa Domingo, the spectacular cathedral near the main square and a little amber atelier. Here you will learn everything you want to know about the stone and its importance for the region. In the following, the tour takes you to San Juan Charmula and Zinacantan, two autonomous Indian villages of the Totzil and the Tseltal. During the tour you are going to get an impression of the rites and the mores of the tribes and you can watch the women while they are waving colorful and unique products. Before the tour takes you back to San Cristobal, you will enjoy Pox, a snaps typical for the region. At 2:30 pm you are going to reach San Cristobal. According to your further course of your trip, you are brought to your hotel, the airport or the bus terminal.
