In the morning you are, according to your arrival, picked up at the bus terminal or your hotel and driven towards Simojovel. The curvy small streets lead you through the Zapatistas villages San Andrés, Oventic and the grandiose mountain scenery of Chiapas. After you arrive in Simojovel, you have time to enjoy a little breakfast in a cozy restaurant (optional), before you visit the neighborhood of the Pauchil community. From here you start a short walk to the mines of amber and enjoy a unique view of the wonderful landscape. A local guide will tell you everything worth knowing about the hard work in the mines and the history of the amber, fondly called "The Tears of Wood" by its population. Afterwards you have a delicious lunch in the house of a local artistic family or in a lovely restaurant. In the following you visit the workshops where the amber gets processed. On the way back home to San Cristobal, the tour leads you shortly to some mural paintings and a pretty church in the villages Oventic and St. Andrés. According to the further course of your trip, you are brought to your hotel, the airport or the bus terminal.
