Lago de Chapala & Ajijic
Buenos Dias Mexico

In the morning you are, according to your arrival, picked up at the bus terminal or your hotel and drive towards the Lago de Chapala, which is situated about 50 km away from Guadalajara. It is known as the bigget lake in Mexico and is very popular for its boat trips, sport activities and its diverse other recreational activities. Already on your drive you encounter a beautiful landscape and you discover Los Potrillos, that are, according to the Guinnes Book of Records, the smallest horses on earth. In the charming village Chapala your guide will explain the most important sights to you and shows you around, before you can use your freetime to explore the village on your own or enjoy a boat trip on the picturesque lake (optional). Not far from Chapala, the charming village Ajijic is situated right next to the lake. It is famous for its lovely little alleys, restaurants and galeries and the entire year there is usually very pleasant weather. Among others, you visit the Isla de los Alcranes (scorpion island), the Casa Braniff, the Templo Franciscano and Plaza Principal. Afterwards you are, according to further course of your trip, brought to your hotel, the airport or the bus terminal.
