In the morning you are, according to your arrival, picked up at the bus terminal or your hotel to start a tour to discover three different archaeological excavations on one day! These places represent thousands of years of history and development of ancient cultures. You learn interesting facts about pyramid construction, the cult about the Aztec god Quetzalcoatl as well as about corn cultivation. Your first stop are the ruins of Tenayuca in the North of Mexico City, which is the only place where remains of the Chichimeca people are preserved. Afterwards you are heading towards Tula, which is situated in the federal state of Hidalgo, about 85 km North of Mexico City. Here you admire the famous, giant Atlas' of Tula. The city used to be the the Toltec capital and the biggest centre of power in 856, apart of Teotihuacan of Mesoamerica. After having enjoyed a detailed guided tour, you have time left for lunch before you continue to the most interesting of the three excavation sites. The impressive archeological site Teotihuacán, the city of gods, is situated about 65km away from Mexico City. It has been declared world heritage by the UNESCO and with 22 square kilometres it is one of the biggest city of ruins in Latin America, even though a great part of it has not been explored and excavated yet. It used to be the most important cultural centre and accomodated the civilized prehistoric people. Your tour leads you along the Street of the Death,  where you can admire all the impressive constructions. You definitely shouldn't miss out on climbing up the Sun- or Moon Pyramid, as that provides you with an imposing view over the whole area over the former "City of Gods". Afterwards you are, according to further course of your trip, brought to your hotel, the airport or the bus terminal.
