In the morning you are, according to your arrival, picked up at the bus terminal or your hotel and your drive to Dzibilchaltún, which means "Place witch Epigraphs on a Flat Stone". The village is the oldest Maya site on Yucatan and has a lot of spots worth to be seen. The most famous building is the temple of seven dolls, where historical clay figures were found in the 1950's. Most significant of the temple is the design of the windows. In times of the equinox, the sun shines in a certain angle trough the window. If you want to learn more about the life of the Mayas and their customs, you have to visit the local museum with its antique exhibits and vivid wall charts. Afterwards, the tour continues to the harbor town and beach resort Progreso, which is close to Mérida. The pier, which connects mainland with an artificial island, is one of the widest in the world. The tour lead you back to Mérida in the afternoon where you will arrive at about 4 pm. According to the further course of your trip, you are brought to your hotel, the airport or the bus terminal.
