A quick virtual trip to Mexico over 9,000 kilometers away

The Mexican Tourist Board invites you to gain an insight into the diverse and fascinating travel destination of Mexico at the exhibition pavillion until May 1, 2016. Celebrating the dual year between Mexico and Germany, the interactive exhibition “Discover México” is currently visiting Berlin after having previously inspired numerous visitors in Madrid, Beijing, London and Paris.

The pavilion in the form of a white dome is located on Washingtonplatz at Berlin Central Station and is open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Entry is free.

State-of-the-art technologies make it possible to discover Mexico using all of your senses in this worldly experience. Just like the travel destination itself, this exhibition has something to offer for both young and old and for every taste.

Let stunning realistic, visual presentations, audio tours, 3D glasses, interactive touchscreens and 360-degree projections take you to different destinations in Mexico, get to know the highlights of this multifaceted country and immerse yourself in history, art and culture.

At the pavillion, Mexico is presented to you in an innovative way and even enables a hot air balloon flight over the extensive metropolis of Mexico City. There are projections of uniquely magical places and you will get to know various peculiarities of Mexico from UNESCO world cultural sites to breathtaking natural spectacles and beautiful sandy beaches. You will also learn interesting information about Mexico’s national history, traditions and customs as well as the origin of the typical tortillas and tacos.

You can enjoy these and many other authentic Mexican specialties after your unique virtual journey through this fascinating destination at the food truck of the Kreuzberg restaurant “Taquería Chaparro”. Mexican gastronomy is based on a rich culinary heritage and has been designated by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage.
