In the morning, make your way to the meeting point where you will be picked up and taken to Chichén Itzá, the world’s most famous, well preserved and magnificently restored archaeological site which is now one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. On your guided tour you can admire the monumental Kukulkán pyramid, which is also known as “El Castillo” and a variety of other impressive constructions this magical place has to offer. Afterwards you will stop at a cenote the Yucatán peninsula is famous for and where you should not miss out on a quick dip in the crystal clear turquoise water. Continue to a local restaurant where you will have lunch (optional) and can taste the delicious, traditional specialties. Before returning to your hotel you will have a short stop in the idyllic colonial town of Valladolid. Explore the cobblestone streets which were built atop a Maya city and many buildings used rocks from the destroyed pyramids and temples.
