The most famous tequila cocktail is the MARGARITA. The classic recipe is made with lime juice, but there are variations with all sorts of fruit such as strawberry and mango or it can be served as a frozen magarita. The salt rim is also typical of the classic Mexican magarita.
- 5 ml tequila (silver)
- 2 ml lime juice
- 3 ml orange liquor (triple cec or cointreau)
- 1 slice of lime
Place the three liquid ingredients with ice in a shaker and shake. Strain into a cocktail glass with a salt rim. For the salt rim, moisten the edge of the cocktail glass with a slice of lime and turn the glass on a plate sprinkled with salt, then let it dry briefly.
A slice of lime is perfect as decoration. Simply cut and stick to the edge of the glass.
