On this Mexico daytrip, experience the island of Holbox with all its diversity of animal and plant species and wonderful white stands.
Today, you will be picked up from your hotel in Holbox and taken to Cabo Catoche where the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea meet. Along the way you can admire the wild dolphins swimming in the ocean and the kilometers of pristine unspoilt beaches. The area is also famous for its abundant underwater world. Begin the day with a fishing adventure where you will catch some fresh local fish to be used for your ceviche lunch later on. Then get into the water with your guide who will take you on a snorkeling tour of the region. There is a 2m deep cave to explore, the colourful coral hiding all kinds of tropical fish and wildlife. If you are lucky, you may see octopus, lobsters and hawkbill turtles. Enjoy some free time to explore the area on your own. Afterwards, you will return to the mainland for a delicous lunch of freshly made ceviche before you are returned to your hotel (when the tides are high, you will be taken through the mangroves).
