On this Mexico daytrip you explore the most important archaeological highlights within the Mexico City area such as Tula, Teotihuacán and Tenayuca in just one day.
In the morning you will be picked up at your hotel in Mexico City. On this tour you will get to know three different archaeological sites in one day. These places represent XIX centuries of history and the developments of various ancient cultures. The first stop is at the ruins of Tenayuca in northern Mexico City, which is the only place where remains of the Chichimeca people are kept. Then it continues to Tula, which is about 85 km north of Mexico City in the state of Hidalgo. Here you can visit the famous gigantic atlases of Tula. After a detailed tour, you have time for a leisurely lunch (optional) before continuing to the most interesting of the three archaeological sites. The “City of Gods”, Teotihuacán, located 50 kilometers northeast of Mexico City, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and, at 22 square kilometers, the largest ruins in Latin America, the majority of which is still unexplored and has not yet been excavated. It was once the most important cultural center and was home to the most civilized indigenous people in Mexico. You should not miss an ascent to the Sun or Moon pyramid, because from above you can enjoy a unique view of the City of Gods and get an impression of its actual extent. In the late afternoon you will be brought back to your hotel.
