On this Mexico daytrip you climb the famous volcano La Malinche and enjoy untouched nature and a breathtaking view.
Today, you will be picked up from your hotel in Mexico City to begin your adventure to the top of the breathtaking volcano “La Malinche”. This volcano has been inactive for around 3,100 years and was named for the Indigenous mistress and interpreter for the Spanish conqueror Herman Cortez. After a 4-6 hour climb you finally reach the summit at 4500 m where you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding volcanoes Popcatepetl, Iztaccihuatl, Pico de Orizaba and the sprawling valley below. Relax and explore the unique landscape of the caldera. After the 3-4 hours descent you will be returned to your hotel, the bus station or the airport in Mexico City.
Note: We recommend this tour only if you are in good physical condition and health. The ascent is classified as medium difficulty and can therefore be carried out with little hiking experience.
