Cenote & Yal Ku Lagoon

On this Mexico daytrip you explore the mysterious cave system of the Yucatan peninsula and relax at the beautiful Yal Ku lagoon.

Tour description:

Millions of years ago, much of the Yucatan Peninsula was covered by the ocean. As the ocean levels decreased through the Ice Age to the modern day, this great movement of water lead to massive erosion and the creation of cave systems and sinkholes connected to the sea. If you know where to look, you can find bodies of seawater hidden within the land of the Yucatan Peninsula and Riviera Maya. These are the unique cenotes found in the region. Many of these amazing underground water sources feature truly breathtaking cave formations. Others have a rich variety of marine life. Enjoy a tour which takes you to both tyoes of cenotes, the covered underground cave system where you can explore the underground has stalactites and stalagmites as you float and hike through the water as well as the open air cenote which is the Yal Ku Laguna (Paradise Lagoon) filled with marine life and where you can enjoy some time to swim and snorkel. Afterwards, you will be returned to your hotel.
